🏙️ City of Barrie Summer Camps

Barrie Summer Camp Registration opens on Tuesday, February 11th at 8am but the website opens for viewing a week before on February 4th to make your picks and add favourites to your wish list.

Cost: low - these summer camps range from $100 to $250 per week.

Registration Difficulty: high - the most sought after camps fill up within the first 2 to 10 minutes after registration opens. Knowing exactly which camps you want to sign up for and having them in your wish list goes a long way at getting in - and make sure you set your alarm for 7:50am, be logged in and register as soon as the timer counts down 😅 

Waitlist: a good option! In our experience many of the wait lists we signed up for called us with openings closer to the date.

🏙️ YMCA Summer Camps

YMCA Summer Day Camps provides kid with the opportunity to make endless summer camp memories, playing games, exploring the outdoors with friends, and discovering new skills! Barrie Summer Camp Registration opens on Saturday, March 1st.

Cost: average $250-300 per week.

Registration Difficulty: average - the most sought after camps fill up quickly but many remain open.

Horseshoe Valley Summer Camps

Horseshoe Valley Summer Camps are a great way to spend the summer outdoors playing, exploring and learning new skills. Camps include:

• Advanced Downhill Bike Camp (6 to 12)

Snow Valley Summer Camp

Snow Valley’s Discovery Camp provides kids, ages 4-12, with an exciting and engaging environment full of outdoor activities, sports, nature, art, and free play. Each camper is given opportunities to play and support their learning through guided exploration and experiences.

Hardwood Hills Summer Camps

Camp Hardwood prides itself on ensuring the campers have fund and overcome new challenges in a safe encouraging environment. Our camps feature theme days, camp games and lots of outdoor adventures. Camps include:

A fun and exciting camp for kids to both learn soccer skills and play outside. Other optional activities like yoga are offered.

For those who want the sleepaway camp experience without having to sleepaway! Many of these camps have everything from water sports, arts and crafts, drama, sports, rock climbing and much more.

For kids 7 to 14 years, this camp has everything from tennis to paintball!

Sleepaway camp is a big deal for first time campers and there are lots of options to choose from! All camps are outdoors with cabins for eating and sleeping and offer a broad range of activities. Some are more sports focused while others have a bigger mix of programming.
