The Barrie Public Library is the proud host of the Barrie Dragon Boat Festival held annually in beautiful Heritage Park. The festival brings teams together for a fun-filled day of camaraderie and fundraising while racing dragon boats on Kempenfelt Bay. 

This summer event promotes community spirit, vitality and unity. The fundamental objective of a Dragon Boat Festival is to strengthen community spirit, providing an opportunity for citizens to demonstrate their organizational talent and resources in hosting a major recreational and cultural event. Benefits include fundraising opportunities for local charitable and not-for-profit organizations, increased exposure for local businesses and a fun-filled event the whole family can enjoy.

🔥 Camp Campy Campfire Show

Uh-oh… it’s campfire time at Camp Campy—but we’re out of firewood!
Join camp counsellors Jay, Trish, and Cal on a zany, interactive adventure to save the day.

This 40-minute award-winning kids’ show is packed with laughs, surprises, and opportunities for the whole audience to get involved. Perfect for kids ages 3–9 (and their grown-ups, who will be laughing too!).

General Admission Tickets are $15

🎸 Explore Eats on the Streets and The Troubadour Festival Concert Series @ Open Air Dunlop

Live music starts at 6 p.m. with the local opener showcase followed by country singer Hawksley Workman.
