🍁 πŸ‚ 🌞 Fall Hike Adventure @ Copeland Forest

Copeland Forest in Hillsdale is one of the loveliest forests in southern Ontario. The forest features 200+ kilometres of trails is full of lush undergrowth, towering old pines, unusual wildflowers and ferns, and, of course, hectares of maples, oaks, beeches, birches and evergreens.

It’s our favourite fall hiking location and the perfect spot to get into nature and enjoy fall colours.

Pro tip: Check out the trail map before visiting. There is around 200km of trails ranging from beginner to advanced, so planning your hike is key.

🍎 Apple picking @ Barrie Hill Farms

Just 10 minutes outside of Barrie, Barrie Hill Farms is known for it’s great fruit and vegetable picking all summer long. In the fall, apple season begins and families can take a tractor ride to the apple orchards for fresh and delicious apple varieties.

Pro tip: Bring your own baskets to save on cost and score some amazing freshly baked goods at the market!

🌻 πŸŽƒ Pick a pumpkin @ Chappell Farms

From the end of September until Halloween, Chappell Farms features farm animals, kids maze, pumpkin picking, sand diggers, a magic show, and more!

Pro tip: Admission includes a pick your own pumpkin! Jump on the farm wagon and take a ride to the pumpkin field before you leave to pick it up.

πŸ₯Ύ 🍁 Explore Scenic Caves in Collingwood

This is a good time for the whole family! There is a fun playground for kids of all ages, gemstone mining, a train ride, easy to moderate hiking trails and a wicked suspension bridge. Fall is the perfect time to explore the grounds, soak up the fall vibes and enjoy beautiful fall colours.

Pro tip: Stop in Collingwood after for lunch at 1858 Caesar Bar and a trip to the Rock Shop after.

πŸŽƒ Experience the fun at Rounds Ranch

Located 25 minutes north of Barrie, Rounds Ranch is a 125 acre farm dedicated to public education and having fun! Kids can pet animals, ride a horse, pick a pumpkin and play with any of the toys and games (of which there are lots).

🐐 🐷 πŸ” Pet some animals at Hooves and Feathers

Located between Barrie and Angus, Hooves and Feathers petting farm is a great place to get up close to animals as well as learn a thing or two about what it takes to look after them. Kids (and adults of course) will be able to pet, brush, and feed the goats, chickens and pigs as well as gently hold and cuddle baby chicks.

Pumpkin Inferno @ Discovery Harbour

Come experience the magic of Pumpkinferno this October 2nd to November 2nd at Discovery Harbour in Penetanguishene! Pumpkinferno's magical outdoor exhibits feature over 5,000 hand-carved 'fun-kins' in dozens of displays, and so much more for the whole family.
