🛩️ Catch the Barrie Airshow this Weekend

Kick off this exciting weekend at the Aviation Career & Education Fair at General John Hayter Southshore Community Centre on Friday. Later Friday night, join us at Meridian Place for a meet-and-greet with pilots and performers of the 2025 Barrie Airshow, a fun Drone Show followed by a free outdoor movie screening.

On Saturday and Sunday, look to the skies over Barrie’s beautiful Kempenfelt Bay as iconic aircraft perform inspiring displays of aviation wonder in a free show for the whole family starting at 1 p.m. Dunlop Street will host Open Air Dunlop all day and there will be activities, food and vendors located at Heritage Park, Meridian Place and Will Dwyer Park.

🌳 Hike of the Week: Heritage Waterfront Trail

Want to be active this weekend and still catch the Airshow? Kempenfelt Bay Waterfront Trail is a beautiful 6km walk that will keep you right in the middle of all the action.

The trail starts at the east end of Allandale Station Park on the south shore and continues around the waterfront to the end of the North Shore Trail at Penetanguishene Road. Eleven interpretive stations, each with a different historical theme, tell the story of Barrie’s past with a journey from the last ice age to the present. Stations are placed thematically, not chronologically, so visitors can decide to see one per visit or all in one day.
