With an undeniable charm, a powerful stage presence, and an unwavering dedication to his craft, Kissel has carved out a path as a top-tier entertainer, earning multiple accolades along the way.

📆 Saturday September 6th

6 p.m. to 8 p.m. - Local Opener Showcase

8:30 p.m. - Brett Kissel

👠 Walk a Mile in Her Shoes for the Women & Children’s Shelter of Barrie

Walk a Mile in Her Shoes® is not your average walk—this is a chance to step up, stand out, and strut your stuff in support of women and children fleeing violence.

Inspired by the old saying, “You can’t really understand someone until you’ve walked a mile in their shoes,” this event invites men, women, and people of all genders to slip on a pair of (yes—red!) high heels and walk together to spark conversation, raise awareness, and show survivors they’re not alone.

Whether you rock the heels or cheer from the sidelines, you’ll be helping to break the silence around domestic violence and build a safer community—one step at a time.

📆 Saturday August 6th - 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

📍 South Shore Centre, Barrie.

🥾 Hike of the Week: Nottawasaga Bluffs

This 400-acre conservation area offers a full day of exploration and adventure, with breathtaking vistas of the surrounding countryside and glimpses of the area’s history. See where settlers once toiled to cut a living out of the wilderness. Timber and limestone proved to be big businesses for this area, resulting in the establishment of nearby communities like Singhampton and Glen Huron.

Connect with the Bruce Trail as it makes its way through the property or venture down one of its side trails to catch a variety of unique features. Of particular note – the Key Hole Side Trail offers an other-worldly experience – you’ll often find bits of snow in the trail’s crevices into June.

🥘 Recipe of the Week: 30 Minute Pizzadillas

This isn't just a quesadilla filled with mozz and pepperoni. It's topped with the works and looks JUST like an actual pizza. Plus, it's so easy to make, and even easier to customize. After making your pizza-inspired quesadilla—filled with pizza sauce, two types of cheese, garlic, and pepperoni—you'll top it with even more pizza sauce, cheese, pepperoni, and Italian seasonings. The result is an extra-cheesy appetizer or easy, kid-friendly snack that your family will ask for again and again.

The best part? You can make this pizzadilla however you please. Use your favorite store-bought brand, or make homemade pizza sauce. If you're not a pepperoni fan, add on your favorite pizza toppings instead
