Don't replace it – repair it! At our Repair Cafés, you will find volunteer fixers that can work with you to repair your household items rather than sending them to the landfill. Repair Cafés are part of a worldwide movement towards creating a more sustainable society, building community connection, and learning new skills. There are over 2,500 Repair Cafés worldwide!

Learn a new skill, save money, and help the environment. 

What can be fixed? This depends on the skill set of our volunteers. Our current volunteer Fixers are great with electrical repairs like wiring on lamps, minor sewing and mending, and repairs on small toys or wooden items. You can tell us a bit about your item when you register, and we will follow up with you if we need more information or to suggest any parts you might need to bring.  We do not fix electronics like cellphones or laptops.

Calling all Pokémon Trainers! Join us in store for an action-packed Pokémon Trading Card Event designed for fans ready to trade, collect, and connect with fellow Trainers. Younger Trainers ages 5–11 can join our morning session, where they can also enjoy a Tiny T-Rex storytime and activities, while tweens and teens ages 12–17 are invited to our afternoon trading event.

Participants will receive a Mega Evolution Trading Card pack to trade or keep.

Enjoy the history of the Legion presentation beginning at 1 p.m. inside the legion by their very own historian Steve Glover. Joining him will be two fantastic musician Ric Ross and Steve McNie.

This cupcake recipe is one of the staples in our repertoire for kids birthday parties and holidays and it is exactly what you want from a cupcake—fluffy, loaded with vanilla flavour, and sweet enough that no one will mistake it for a muffin.

“Lower sugar” is a more specific description than “healthy” in this recipe as it’s really the sugar content that’s different here. A batch of these lower sugar cupcakes—they have 1/4-½ cup less sugar than other classic recipes, plus significantly less sweetness in the frosting options—are a great kids dessert option. They’re even a good option for a first birthday cupcake.
