🏠️ Curbside Giveaway Day on Saturday

Curbside Giveaway Days take place twice per year in Barrie, in the spring and in the fall. The event is a chance to give gently used or unwanted items a second life, and/or find new-to-you items others are giving away. 

It’s like a garage sale but without the money exchange. Everything you place at the end of your driveway or lawn on the specified day is free for others to pick up.

Participating in Curbside Giveaway Day is easy:

• Gather up items around your home that are no longer used, but that other people might like to have (toys, books, furniture, sporting goods, small appliances, tools, art, etc.)

• Starting at 8am on Curbside Giveaway Day, place your items at the curb and clearly mark them as “FREE”.

• Look for free treasures around your neighbourhood

Celebrate Harbourfest at Friday Harbour! Visit for a weekend of Bavarian-inspired fun with a special themed menu and traditional ‘volksmusic’ at the CIBC Pier. Enjoy beer tastings and raise a glass to the weekend at the beer garden patio.

🎨 Live Artists with Barrie Art Club @ The Barrie Public Library

Since 1949, Barrie Art Club has been championing local artists and working to make Barrie a vibrant home for arts and culture. Visit the Downtown Library from September 19-26, where a variety of live artists from the club will be setting up their easels to explore their creativity and paint, engaging in conversation about their work, and offering information on all the Barrie Art Club has to offer.
